Knights of Casterly Rock Unboxing [Song of Ice and Fire Miniatures Game]

On to the next box!  Today, let's have a look at what's included in the Lannister Knights of Casterly Rock box.

First, the outside.  Front:
And the back:
The contents:
  • 4 Miniatures
  • 1 Unit Card
  • 1 Movement Tray
Basically, what you need to run this unit in your games.

What things look like when you open the box:
Now a picture of the included unit card:
Seems to be a lot going on- I'm going to assume these guys are pretty good!

And now, onto the included miniatures.  There is one of each of the following included.

As with the others, great looking miniatures.

That's about all there is for this post- I'm just showing the contents of the expansions for now.  Hope it was interesting for someone!

Tully Sworn Shields [Song of Ice and Fire Miniatures Game]

Another day, another post!  Hopefully someone is getting some value from this.  If not... well, I'll still post them.  But hopefully that's not the case!

This is the first unit box I've opened, so was expecting that it will be a very different set of contents, which it was!

First, the front:
And the back:
The box lists its contents as:
  • 12 Miniatures
  • 1 Unit Card
  • 1 Movement Tray
Opening the box, this is what we see:
This is the unit card included:
There a quite a number of miniatures included.  There are four of these:
These ones are a bit off- the heads do have a gap on the neck.  Priming will probably cover it pretty well though.  Otherwise, this mini looks great, as they all do.

Four of these are also included:
Three of these:
And finally, one of these:

So yeah, great looking minis that will look really nice on the tabletop.

Short and sweet!  There's a lot of good stuff in these boxes, that's for sure.  Once I move, I'll make sure to get this on the table, and have something to talk about regarding that!

Neutral Heroes I Unboxing [Song of Ice and Fire Miniatures Game]

I'm back, and this time, I'm doing the Neutral Heroes I box.  It is filled with, you guessed it, neutral heroes!

Per the usual, let's look at the front of the box:
I don't really have a comment, other than Ramsay looks freaking creepy.  Like, super creepy.  *shudder*

The back:
Contents:
  • 5 Miniatures
  • 33 Cards:
    • 4 Attachment Cards
    • 26 Tactics Cards
    • 3 NCU Cards
Interior of the box:
And let's take a look at those nice minis.

First, we have Roose Bolton, the head of House Bolton.
He has a very cold look about him, fitting for his role in the books.

Next up, his son, Ramsay Bolton.

He looks less creepy than his picture, at least.

Lord Varys:
Petyr Baelish:
And finally, Theon Greyjoy, in his 'Reek' persona.
Kind of horrifying, to be honest.

The miniatures are great quality of course, which I've come to expect from CMON, anyway.

Moving onto the cards, we have the Attachment Cards:

And the NCU Cards:
Really, really interesting stuff.  I can't wait until I have time for this!

There are a bunch of Tactics cards included, but I'll spare you a picture of the stack of them.

That's it for today!  I'll get stuff for another of the Stark expansions tomorrow!

Thanks for reading!

I AM BUYING A HOUSE!

This is not our house, this is a stock image of a house
Oh my god!  I honestly can barely process it, but after years and years of living in an apartment with my wife, we're finally buying a home.

I know, I know.  This isn't gaming related.  BUT, in a sense, it is.  See, I'm limited in a lot of ways by the place I live.  It's hard to paint, because the balcony is a bit awkward to prime on.  It's hard to leave things set up for gaming/hobbying, due to the cat.

The new place (in Westminster, Maryland) will have enough room for me to be properly organized, and properly set up.  It's really going to be a huge boon for my hobby life, as well as my life in general (although an hour commute to work will be an adjustment).

There may be a slight disruption in posting at various times (depending on what's required from me at any given time), but I promise the future looks bright!

Lannister Heroes I Unboxing [Song of Ice and Fire Miniatures Game]

Grabbed the Lannister hero box today, as it is the perfect companion with the Stark heroes box!

Let's take a look at the front of the box:
They look so devious and scheming!  The back:
The contents are:
  • 5 Miniatures
  • 25 Cards:
    • 4 Attachment Cards
    • 18 Tactic Cards
    • 3 NCU Cards
The interior of the box:
Aaaand onto the miniatures.

First, we have Sandor Clegane, the Hound.
Next up is Tywin Lannister, the head of House Lannister.
Next up is another Tyrion Lannister miniature.
Looks a lot more formidable!  I don't know how the cards allow him to be different than the version in the Starter Set, as the cards don't actually mean much to me quite yet.  I'm sure I'll figure that out, soon enough.

Next up, we have The High Sparrow:
And finally, we have Maester Pycelle:
Overall, these are great looking miniatures!

Aaaaand let's take a look at the cards:

Anyway, that's all the contents.  I don't know enough about the game yet, but I could definitely see how these expansions add a lot of variety to the game.  Not only new miniatures and units/attachments to play with, but new things to add the tactics board AND new cards for the tactics deck!

I'll get to the rules at some point, and then these things will be even more valuable and meaningful to me!

Stark Heroes I Unboxing [Song of Ice and Fire Miniatures Game]

Grabbed a random expansion box from the pile, and figured I'd do some unboxing pictures of its contents.  Today's box will be the Stark Heroes I box.  I'll grab a Lannister box for tomorrow!

To start, let's look at the front of the box.
So somber.  So imposing.  The back of the box.
Just because I'm sure it's hard to read, the contents are:
  • 6 Miniatures
  • 34 Cards
    • 2 Unit Cards
    • 5 Attachment Cards
    • 24 Tactic Cards
    • 3 NCU Cards
  • 1 Movement Tray
What awaits us when we open the box...

Nicely packaged.

Let's start by looking at the miniatures.  Apologies for the blurry pictures.  I'm working (slowly) to improve on my methods!

First up, we have Howland Reed.
Now Eddard Stark, holding Ice.
I really like how he looks so calm and collected, instead of looking like he's on the warpath.  Would've felt really out of place, otherwise.

Next up, we have Rodrick Cassel.
Summer.
Bran and Hodor- they are a decent amount larger than their comrades.
The model does seem to lean, which I don't think is intended.  I'll have to fix that at some point.

Finally, we have Brynden Tully (the Blackfish).
These miniatures look pretty good, and certainly better up close than the pictures give them credit for.

The two units cards.

I haven't read the rules yet, so it doesn't mean anything to me yet, but these really do look awesome!

Aaaand finally, the various cards (I'll spare you a picture of the movement tray).

I think a lot of these cards were shown at various parts of the campaign, so probably aren't much of a surprise.  They are very nice quality, if you haven't actually had a chance to see them in person!

Anyway, that's all for this showing.  Tune in soon, and I'll open one of the Lannister boxes!
